The Fourth IBAFF (Ibn Arabi Film Festival) finishes this night at the Teatro Romea with a ceremony managed by the Murcian Alfonso Albacete, film director, and Elisa Albacete, journalist. During the festival, it has been programmed the screenings of works from the 3 main protagonists of the Filmmakers Meeting. Today we can enjoy at the Filmoteca Regional Sueño y silencio, from Jaime Rosales, included in the IBAFF Selection, which has counted on the participation of others works such as Like someone in love, from Abbas Kiarostami, and Dream of Light, from Victor Erice. Other titles included in this selection are: Two meters of this Land (Ahmad Natche), premiered in Spain, and Arraianos (Eloy Enciso). These two filmmakers are part of the IBAFF jury this year. In a couple of hours, the 4th edition of de IBAFF (International Murcia Film Festival) will be closing with the Awards Ceremony in Romea Theatre, that will be hosted by the Murcian director Alfonso Albacete and the journalist Elisa Albacete. This week we were able to see the best international film proyects, not only fiction but also documentaries, and also the best films from Murcia. We have been visited by masters like Victor Erice, Jaime Rosales, Bill Viola, Suad Hakim, and, of course, our friend Abbas Kiarostami, so we have been rewarded. The Fourth International Film Festival of Murcia (IBAFF) welcomes for the second time the International Symposium Ibn Arabi of Murcia, an international forum about the figure of the mystic Sufi master who was born in Murcia in the 12th Century. The Symposium takes place the 8th and 9th March, 2013. Under the title of “Symbol and creative imagination”, this meeting held by the Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi Society in Spain (MIAS – Spain) and coordinated by the master Pablo Beneito, wants to become known once again thorough the universal importace, the deep significance and the stated relevance of the Ibn Arabi’s life-giving thoughts.
